The effects of either Gleevec or cisplatin alone or in combination on A549 lung cancer cells. The tumor cells were treated with either drug alone or in combination for various times using IC50 concentrations for both Gleevec (2 μM) and cisplatin (64 μM). The synergistic effect was seen at 48 hours after treatment. Control cells were treated with neither drug.
